I don't like the back end, coupe and volante alike. The Vanquish is so much more sorted. This curving sharpe edge with the mirrors dipping slightly downwards looks unstylish IMHO.

What's happening with the back end of that car?
Looks full of bullet holes and gapping panels?

Not sure why they have shown it in the worst 2 angles. The rear looks even worse in volante form, especially the picture from directly behind.

Its got weird panels and sheets of metal stuck to it - presumably as a form of disguise...
(Though not sure i see the point of wearing a disguise and trying to be discreet if you proudly state on the side of the car "heres something that wont be out for another 18 months")

Never noticed the drooping mirrors; very unattractive. The back end is a mess; not so much with the coupe. The panel gap between the tonneau cover and the boot on the left side is very bad; they shouldn't have released a photo looking that bad. Honestly, it makes the previous gen Volante that much better looking.

I think the value of DBS Volantes may be about to head higher still

Ok - I rest my case for the moment as a closer look reveals a couple of stuck on panels to disguise the final look but then you have to ask yourself - why release these pictures in the first place ?.

I assume it makes more sense for Aston to show off a test mule and get some coverage with all the info they want released. Rather then wait for spy shots to slowly appear.

Still not sure about the rear at all.

A V12VS Roadster is more appealing than ever, a few years depreciation to go and that could be the next Aston for me smile

I must be blind. Pleas point out said stuck on panels; I don't see any.

If you zoom in on either of the two flanks at the rear you will see that there is a panel which looks as if it attached on top of the body - or it is just an exceptionally bad panel fit from Gaydon.

hmm, do they need to change the ducting for that airbrake thing at the back? Would the hood interfere with it when stowed if it was kept in the same place as the coupe?
