Details of somebody high up in the NHS dentist department
Discussion
Tried googling but can't really find anybody.
Does anyone know where I would find an email address for someone high up in the NHS covering the dentistry sides of things? I usually find emailing a director or CEO resolves issues quickly.
Mrs is having a nightmare right now.
She has been sent a fine for not paying for treatment which she wasn't billed for. Essentially her dentists fault, dentist has owned up to it. Has sent off documents to the fine department. Fine department staff are useless.
At first it was a fine for £110 if paid within 28 days. Dentist sent off documents saying it was their fault, on 3 occasions. Fine department have said they have not received them.
Received a fine yesterday saying we have 7 days to pay £160 otherwise will be handing the debt over to a debt agency.
No one seems to have a clue what they are doing. There is a reference to the case yet each member of staff we get in touch with doesn't have a clue what is happening.
Thank you.

Whats the name of your Local Health Board/Trust, google it.
Call the people dealing with the fines and ask for the CEO's e-mail address/phone number.
Get the name of someone in the collections agency the call the dentist to fax/email over the documents today.

OP, who's fining your wife? What's the organisation's name on your correspondence?
Apart from a few directly employed dentists, most are generally independant contractors practicing on their own, or in a bigger practice, or as part of a company taking on NHS work if they fancy it, with your local NHS Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) holding the contract on any NHS work.
This is an admin cock-up so if the Dentist works for a company, then you need to go to top of that company in the first instance.
If it's the local NHS, then you need to go to the top of the relevant CCG which, going on your profile would be: http://www.liverpoolccg.nhs.uk/
If it drags on you can go to the Ombudsman; http://www.ombudsman.org.uk/make-a-complaint/how-t...
Hopefully it gets sorted asap.

Thanks all.
Went in today and spoke to the dentist in the place. He shown us emails that he has sent to them amongst other things he has sent and has resent them.
We then called the NHS fine people who said they will look at the emails in the next 2 days and ask us to call up Tuesday or later to ask for an update.
When we call the NHS phone department it's always a different person in the North East and the adviser from the previous call never writes any details on the log which the reference is attached to.
We will call up on Tuesday and then put a complaint in as the efficiency is really, really poor. Gladfully we got a decent person today who seemed to actually care about the situation.
I understand they probably come across the lowest of the human species and hear so many different explanations a day as to why a bill hasn't been paid, but at the end of the day, they are getting paid to do a job.
Hopefully it can all be put to bed Tuesday/ Wednesday.
