Okay, maybe I'm not very PC.

But he's a sodding man with all the strength and ability of a sodding man.

Even if she didn't used to be a he, I've noticed that most women appear more powerful than men nowadays hehe

Only just started hormone treatment? So a year or two away from having it cut off.

First transgender frontline soldier (and fair enough, take pride in that) but not the first female frontline soldier.

Doesn't look like a woman (to me)
Has a Penis (I assume)

But is a Woman?

I don't understand, I assume it's because She identifies herself as a woman, so is a woman?

Just because you lop off your d**k and then wear a dress doesn't make you a ******* woman. I’ve asked my doctor to give me long ears and liver spots and I’m going to wear a brown coat but that won’t turn me into a ******* cocker spaniel.

I must admit to finding the concept that gender is a state of mind, not a fact of physiology, all a bit strange myself.
Anyone else feel that they perhaps wasted their time in biology classes?

Even then not a woman, just a medically and surgically altered man.

Describing him as the first frontline woman is an insult to women striving for equality in my opinion.

I have to agree. I'm not a woman, but if I was I'd be pretty pissed off that this is being hailed as a breakthrough for women's rights rofl

This ^^ In buckets full.

It makes no sense to me at all.

I'm all for people having the freedom to do whatever they wish to their own bodies and to dress, behave and appear as who/whatever they wish to. But what I can't get my head around at all though is a male being referred to as a woman and 'she'.

Does it make any more sense than someone declaring themselves to be a potato?

As above, you're in agreement with Germane Green.

I do agree, although for people who fully transition I'd acquiesce to considering them a woman (or man, for F2M), unlike the transtrenders doing it for attention.

Caught the end of the news story this morning but had no idea/interest in what it was about.

My Mrs asked what it was going on and I said "no idea but that honking bloke needs a haircut"

Actually, men who undergo hormone changes to be more feminine lose a lot of their strength/ability. Well known example is the intersex South African runner from Rio - the last few years she had been running under a medically-induced testosterone limit and running significantly slower. Take away the pills and she sped up significantly. Same here.
