Following on in the same spirit of the things that annoy you beyond reason thread, I was thinking of a couple of things that give me the creeps a little. Not for any genuine sinister reason, just an irrational feeling I sometimes get.

A couple of examples,

Swimming pool diving end, specifically the way that the floor of the pool suddenly drops away. I remember as a child the first time I tried wearing goggles, I swam the length of the pool following the lines on the floor and then suddenly the floor just fell away from me. it still gives me the creeps!

There is an old man I sometimes see on my way to work who rides one of those old fashioned sit up and beg style bicycles. The weird thing about him is that he always sits absolutely bolt upright and stares straight ahead the whole time. He always has a fairly neutral expression on his face but he rides along at approximately half a mile an hour. I'm sure that most people who try to ride that slow would just topple over but somehow he maintains a constant speed without wobbling. It just seems a bit odd and a little bit spooky. I guess he reminds me a bit of the doll thing on the tricycle in the Saw movies!

He's got a point. I'm as easy-come-easy-go, live and let live as the next man, but I've had to avert my eyes from "Coronation Street" a couple of times this week because whassisname from the florists and The Vicar have been giving it tongues.

I'm all for free love and that, but I don't want homosexuality rammed down my throat.

The best way to get over it is to face your fears.

Never really put much thought to it in the past, but thinking about it now, I do feel uncomfortable watching two men kiss..

That being said my old flat mate was gay and I never had a problem when he kissed his bf hello or goodbye but that was never a full on snog.

The Corrie kiss was probably a bit too hungry and sexual for prime time tv. Regardless of the genders involved, I could see that making people feel uncomfortable. Especially if they are watching with relatives.

If you focus on the lips you can imagine it is two women rubbing against each other
