Hi

I've just had a wheel refund done on a V8V. They said it was fine removing and refitting the sensors. They had to replace a valve, which again was fine.

After 15mins of driving I get a "Tyre System Fault" message.

The Wheel Refurb company say the system probably needs resetting.

Does it need resetting, or, is a sensor just broken?

Thanks

Check all of the pressures, adjust if need be then go for a short drive. The system will reset itself unless there is a genuine pressure loss issue.

I had the same message today after no changes at all. After about 5 minutes it seems to have reset itself - thank goodness.

Although I did spent those 5 minutes grumbling about British engineering smile

Can be temperature sensitive too chaps, and we've lost a chunk of degrees almost overnight, so don't be surprised if the reduction in OAT lead to a drop in psi.

After 100 miles it didn't go out.

It also comes on immediately Before starting up after the "System Check"

Does it matter if the TPMS sensors have been put back on different wheels?

Yes. They must be NSF RED, NSR YELL, OSF GRN, OSR BLUE.

Hope that helps.

Can't see it matters where the wheels are located as long as the colours match the correct tpms

I had the same issue after a refurb. Needed a replacement sensor.

Apparently they are very delicate
