2012 Cayenne Turbo gen 11
Discussion
Hi,
I've just put a deposit down on a 2012 Cayenne Turbo :~D Be interested to hear from other gen11 Turbo owners. What are the newer ones like on fuel and tyres ?
Will be using it as my daily driver, probably doing about 30k miles a year, lol or until I loose my licence :~/
It's a well specked car with the follow me cruise and electric tow bar, even has the auxiliary heating, burmester stereo, keyless entry and go, PDCC & LCA what ever they are ??? reverse camera, cool and heated seats and loads of other goodies. just needs a set of wheels as they are 19's :~(

PDCC is Porsche's active body control system; it uses hydraulic pressure to adjust the anti-roll bars to reduce body roll. It's also used as anti-dive/squat.
LCA is Lane Change Assist; radar units behind the rear bumper detect cars in the vehicle's blindspot and the system warns the driver by flashing some LED's in the mirror.

Its the best family motor imo. Super practical with its sliding reclining rear seat, has a lot of thoughtful touches like twin sunvisors, super low entry suspension level, and if u ever did need it, genuine off road capability with its locking diffs.
Pdcc and ptv+ work brilliantly amd change the car into a pretty agile terrier in sport mode. Burmester is the best sound system Ive heard - personally I wouldnt buy a Cayenne without this option as its immense - and the touch screen nav and rear emtertainment is intuitive to use for adults and kids alike (no remote control nonsense like ramge rovers)
In town from a cold start id get 9-12mpg... on a steady run 24-30mpg... 8speeds means the engine is barely above tickover at 70 !
Only thing I wished it had was HUD and surround cameras - BMW has had them since 08 so not sure why until 2015 there was no surround cam option and still Porsche doesnt do HUD !
