Slow electric windows

Search is not working at the momemt, but I remembered the other day that someone suggested using a silicon spray in the channels.
Just searched on e-bay under "silicon spray" and there was only one item that came up.

I looked on e-bay as I think the thread suggested that you could get some from a wet suit manufacturer, but there aren't many of those it Berkshire. If you don't beleive me go on e-bay and search for silicon spray and see what comes up.

Possibly me, in the S series forum.

Pop to your local Halfords and part with £5 for a yellow spray can of silicon spray and coat the rubbers... it's quite likely they are causing the windows to slow.

If that doesn't work you're into removing door cards... which isn't fun...

Can this be used on the "brushes" as well on the aluminium uprights?

The spray stuff helps but the main reason is the poor wiring/cable used, causing voltage drop. A relay joined at the connector before it goes into the door will cure it, the cable from there to the motor is fine.

similar problem with the later lcd odo speedos it would seem.when i have my headlights on,if i use the wipers the speedo dips when the wipers stop and start!!! good old tvr
