Alfa 164 3.0 24v super
Discussion
Not mine but my neighbors, but thought it was worth a thread.
1997, busso v6 24v producing around 229bhp.
And it's absolutely spectacular. Stainless steel exhaust sounds perfect, and the suspension has all been replaced. It's a lot more tight and precise than I was expecting. After 4K it really sings. Gear change is neat and slick. I would drive this every day in a heartbeat. It has proper character and I had as much enjoyment taking it for a spin as pretty much anything.

The thrummy v6 put the little one off to sleep in around 12 seconds.....

Wonderful - and the red has survived! Don't think I've seen another phase 2 in red.
Can you find out where the exhaust was done and the rough cost (perhaps by PM)? My 164 twinspark sound great on the standard exhaust but is a keeper so needs a stainless next time.
If the owner needs any bits and pieces let me know!

They do charge premium rates but dealers are dealers, lovely car, but at a 1/3 of the asking rice would be about right.

Probably not far off, the problem being he spent £15k (on top of the purchase price) turning it into as new a car as it could be. Everything is replaced or uprated. P

I hadn't realised they were still producing the 164 in 1997
