Hi,
About a month ago I got my car impounded after being caught being sideways on a roundabout. Got a court summons last week for driving without due care and attention and a bald tyre. Have the option to plead guilty by post. If I do plead guilty by post do I still have to attend the court date? Was a very stupid lapse in judgement trying to show off. Since then I haven't used the car on the road and have bought a micra daily instead. Just wanting some advice on the situation

Can a car be impounded for DWDCA ? I thought it was only where it couldn't be legally driven in the road.

ETA I'm guessing it was for the bald tyre, in which case surely you can just swap it for the spare?

i was given a section 59 which i assumed why he took the car. on the letter it says i must attend in person and on arrival i must give a guilty or not guilty plea, yet on an accompanying letter it says i can plead guilty by post, am i right in assuming that if i could plead guilty by post that it would of been on the letter with the charges and i'd of been given a form to fill out?
