Well technically the second but the first I have shared. I am wanting to improve my public speaking as I am having to give talks etc much more often for work now and I am finding this a good way to help! I find talking to a camera so much worse than any public speaking so do bare with me!

Just subbed as well, you engage with the audience well, especially seeing as you are relatively new to this.

The sound on your voice for the in-car shots wasn't all it might have been, bit of noise and your voice was a bit thin, perhaps a closer mic and a bit of bass on the eq would help. And then, when the music started, it was far too LOUD.

The camera work was very good, and you put in some establishing shots. I would have like a bit of voice over during the footage of the cars, or better still some conversation with other owners but I realise that would have been difficult if you were there on your own. The story telling was good, there was a start and an end, it's just that the middle was a bit thin.

I think you could do well, you look good on camera and you aren't shy.

Fantastic feedback thank you! Yes I was a bit disappointed with the audio in the car but there wasn't enough room to mount my shotgun mic to the camera and have it on the windscreen! I am actually waiting for the GoPro hero 5 to come out in oct so I can use that, mount it closer and invest in one of the igomic kits which seem to produce pretty decent results!

The plan long term is indeed to hopefully get some interviews with people and do more talking outside of the car but this will come with confidence hopefully smile The voice over idea is one I certainly hadn't thought of and this could be a good interim step while I build up my confidence!

Again many thanks for taking the time to view and feedback I really appreciate it smile

Lavalier mic, Audo Technica do corded (6M) ones for about £25 IIRC. Move on to Sennheiser wireless when appropriate.

Thats a good call, think my camera only has the xlr inputs but will check when I get home tonight but my kit is missing the wireless mics so maybe this is cause enough to make a new purchase!

Or you could use a separate sound recorder, Zoom and Tascam do some nice units. Good way of getting a lot more control of the recording process and there may be times when more than one channel would be handy.

Ahh yeah, a friend of mine has a zoom h4 (i think thats what it is called) which he uses for filming local bands and the sounds comes out really well, can't imagine it's an easy one to get right with vocals and instruments. Maybe see if he wants to pop along one day and try it out!
