Clarion stereo help please

Hi guys, sorry its a bit sad to post this topic but i have an elise with the standard Clarion stereo and the news keeps coming on when i'm listening to my CD. I have no instructions so don't know how to turn this feature off. i'm guessing that the TP bit that lights up on the panel is something to do with it but not sure. Can anyone please help me by telling me how to turn this feature off. Thank you in advance

When the TA and TP symbols are lot in the display, hold the 'TA' button (its just below the CD sign on the panel) until the tiny little TA symbol on the bottom row of the display goes out.

Thats what the manual says anyway
