Hi, the windscreen washer on my 2006 V8V is not working :-(

I cannot hear the pump trying to work, so I assume that it is not a blockage.

I have checked Fuse 48 in the footwell fuse box and that is okay.

Is there a relay that I should check and if so which one and which location, please?

Or is the next step to check the voltage at the pump, which I understand is located behind the inner wheel arch plastic - if this is the case how difficult is it to remove this?

Any advice welcome :-)

Many thanks.

Easy to access the washer tank and whatnot. Remove the front right wheel, then the fender liner (at least the rear half). Just need a T30 Torx bit and ratchet and a Philips head screwdriver.

My washer pump failed on my 07 V8 Vantage last year.

Fairly cheap part (around 20 pounds if i remember) and easily replaced as described above.

Hi many thanks for your replies.

Assuming that it is the pump that needs replacing, is this only available as an Aston part or is it available from another marque I.e. Volvo, Ford, Jag etc?

Thanks, Andrew M
