So this is a problem for me. People always think I'm either mad, angry or moody. Even when I am perfectley happy and having a perfect day I still intimidate people. My Mother also has RBF and people always thought she was stuck up, angry etc. I get comments from some co-workers about it. Turned into a joke that I am really a serial killer lol. If I try to smile and look more pleasant I just end up looking creepy. Truly is an awful thing to suffer from. Still had loads of girls over the years but it seems I look more grumpy as I age.

Anybody else here suffer from this and any advice?

Yep, I suffer from this! In situations where it's probably not a good look I try to make fun of it so the person I'm with knows I'm not being moody it's just my usual face.

Usually lightens the mood even if they don't care I have RBF.

I struggle with this. Even my own mother regularly asks me what's wrong. I need to be in a positively jolly mood to not be looking like an absolute grump.

Be at one with your grumpiness.

Yep, me too. I rarely display any emotion at all in fact unless I make a deliberate effort to do so. The upside is I am very good at bluffing games, it's not worth it though.

The missus has an RBF too. Although she's pretty good at fake smiles.

My other half suffers from the same.

When my mum first met her she said, "She seems very serioys" but actually she just has a serious face from rest and often looks angry/annoyed! Even catches me out sometimes haha.

I believe it stands for 'resting bh face' or in other words you look like a grumpy permanently.

Ah, I see. Lots of people call me a MOC, bit like that, then...

I used RBF as a strategy during my entire time at work. To be honest I didn't care whether anyone liked me or not as long as they didn't give me any st. Colleagues must have though I was a right miserable bd. Since I retired I've had no trouble dropping the grumpy look.

I think I must be the same. HR have actually told me people are afraid to talk to me!

Those who actually work with me know it's not really the case but it does mean I don't have to suffer the drivel most of them seem to fill their lives with.

Grow a beard, will help to disguise it.

Not sure it will help your Mum though.
