Fat fingered posting - sorry. First post. Rookie error. Please forgive.

Is the mileage alone enough of a detractor to make this car £35k?

I've run the registration in the ad on 'regisearch' and that threw up some anomalies and am waiting for the dealer to respond.

I'm okay with the mileage, not so much with the wheels, and would prefer the red light bar across the back (was that even possible to delete with a removal of model designation?) but at £35k it seems a steal?

If it seems to good to be true...

The advert shows a gen 1 and yet this thread title talks of a gen 2 therefore it's overpriced IMO.

Mis represented and comedically priced.

Other than that, a steal.

Why is it misrepresented - doesnt say it is a gen 2?

It claims it is a 2009 car, which would make it a gen2.

Its actually a 2008 gen1 on an 08.

"We Believe The Above Specification To Be Correct,However Errors Can Occur, So Please Check Your Required Features Are On This Vehicle.." its cool, they can say what they like, they have a disclaimer!!!
Its funny how that one year makes such a massive difference with these cars, no one in the know wants a Gen1

I remember actually seeing this advert on a recent 997 search and thought "Typical trader at it".

Seems a few months make a big difference in the 911 world!

The most obvious difference - to me - is the more modern looking LED rear lights.

Of course, you have the engine problems with the Gen 1, but also the 4WD system is much improved with the Gen 2 (amongst other things). Then there's the fact that it is tiptronic, where all Gen 2s come with PDK - a night and day difference.

For me, that's got to be worst variant of the 997 made.

I saw one of the guys that works at Hartech yesterday and he said they have a 997s and a 996 c4s for sale. I'd give them a ring if I were you and save yourself a few quid!
