So with the increase from £2 to £2.50, and an increase in numbers to pick, with less chances of winning, who will still be play the Euromillions from next week. I have already cancelled my DD in protest, not that it will make difference.
Stopped playing the Lottery for the same reasons.

With all these people giving up their direct debits, surely there is now much more opportunity for the likes of me, who never plays, to have a better chance!

Solution? Just play Thunderball or Hotpicks.

Smaller pot of course, but it's £1

If you play of course.

I play the Thunderball, had more wins with that to be honest.
Hopefully they do not change that as well.
Half a million would suit me, enough to semi retire, and get my dream Caterham.

One of my colleagues believes (and will strongly argue) that there's so little chance of winning the lottery jackpot that you can say it's effectively the same whether you do it or not!

My wife's uncle firmly believes that its a fix as well. They know what tickets have been bought before the draw, they therefore know how to program the machine to spit out the balls so that they have their big jackpot at certain times to make the most money from all the ticket sales.

Would be a better cover-up than the moon landing tongue out

That's what I thought. Still, never mind.

If you have the National Lottery App
Its interesting to look at the Euromillions prize breakdown of UK and non UK winners.
I'm betting that Post BREXIT we will still be allowed to take part!

Same here, I occasionally do the Euromillions or the lottery but mainly just stick with a Thunderball lucky dip for just a quid.

I find this funny. The change from £2 to £2.5 has stopped you smile

Any idea In the betting odds what the difference is? Why worry about 50p. what fun are you getting from all those £2's in the year, that wouldn't be equally served with one less £2 every four bets?

Plus the change off adding another 10 numbers. Chance of winning has gone from 1 in 14million to 1 in 45million.

I do it once a month when they guarantee 5 UK millionaires. Not sure I'd really want 30,50,120 million one would do me fine.

Wait until the prize exceeds £30m. Then do a syndicate with a few mates.

I do it instead of giving to any other charities.

According to bookies, there’s more likelihood of Wayne Rooney becoming the next Prime Minister than scooping the big money prize now.

The problem is that the game has become part of the national psychology. People have a habit of playing, and many have regular numbers that they play each time, so they feel they cannot risk stopping now - in case they miss out on a prize. wink
