Coming up for a set of discs and pads...ideas pls?

Looking at the state of my discs I think they are due a change.....but theres so much choice on disc types, drilled, slotted or regular...and do I need the extra braking by going for hard compound pads!?

Id stay away from drilled discs. They all crack eventually.

Do you need the extra braking from harder pads ??

I have the Wilwood slotted rotors (and their 6 pot calipers) on the front of my Z06. They are great for road use, but I would go for either the AP Racing or the Brembos or the StopTech ones for track use. Be aware that not all of the aftermarket calipers fit the standard wheels. The Wilwood ones do.

Cheers guys....so slotted are good but drilled ones crack.....I fancy a set of those zo6 red calipers though!!

Funny you should mention that! I just so happen to have a set of front Z06 red calipers and disks I took off of mine when I fitted the Wilwoods.....as they are cluttering up my garage they are yours if you want to give me £50. Oh and you will need to either pay for the postage or come and collect them.

Hi speedandstealth the red calipers are not just for the Z06 they came as standard on my 04 and I think they go back 1 or 2 years before that, but yes they do look good even on my red on red coupe.
