Hey all, looking for some advice, I’ve put a deposit down on a new Vanquish I’m meant to be picking up early next week. I went to 3 different dealers to get the best deal and 1 told me they reserved the car from factory so I could only buy it from them. The others said rubbish they could sell it to me. Today I get a call telling me not a problem BUT they would be delighted to put me in the new MY17 Vanquish which has enhanced software, nav system and some other nice upgrades such as Apple Play. I;ve look through google and the AM website and can’t find anything anywhere about a MY17 Vanquish. Does anyone know of this?! I’m just curious if the dealer I’ve agreed to get my car from has lost it and wants to supply me something different? He tells me it will be the first MY17 off the line and I can meet him on Monday at the factory to see it finished on the production line, so sounds genuine, but I don;t see why I can;t find any information on this MY17 vanquish at all?!

The complete lack of response to your question, is probably because nobody on here this evening can provide an answer.

I mostly follow Vantage model activity, but have not read about any changes to the Vanquish for Model Year 2017. However, there has been a very recent topic running, about AMi III, so that might a new feature for the model year that has just commenced.

Interesting that you describe several dealers, who all appear to have access to one particular new car. In the past there have been dealer specification orders, but perhaps other types of arrangement also sometimes occur.

The Vanquish section on the Aston Martin website does say "new for 2017 AMI iii"

So indeed it does like the updated entertainment for the MY17

(Just in case the OP isn't aware Aston model years normally change in the September before - ie it is the right time of year for the switch over to MY 17)

As the guys have said above .... Aston employ an evolutionary policy to all their cars and each model is enhanced on an ongoing basis. The main changes tend to be applied for the new model year (MY) but sometimes .25 or .5 MY part the way through each year.
For example - Vanquish key changes included
14MY - DAB Radio, Cobra tracking
15MY - Major changes include the new 8-speed Touchtronic III, Bosch ecu with a few extra horses, revised suspension set-up offering more dynamic handling. Improved NVH, reversing camera now standard, etc.
16MY - AMi II software enhancements to infotainment
17MY - AMi III infotainment (see AMi III thread)
I hope this helps smile (full info here )

Hi,

I am contemplating the same move and have been in contact with the dealer. I so much prefer the looks of the Vanquish over the DB11 and the fact that it has a proper V12 non-turbo engine and a carbon body but I am haggling with the dealer on the price. There are big discounts to be had on exiting forecourt examples but I would be interested to hear what you can obtain if you order to spec.

If you fit the Larini exhaust, the 2017MY upgrade to the infotainment system may become obsolete anyway - just wind the windows down insteadsmile
