I have been playing with the D70 today, my dad has given me his old vivitar 28-200 manual focus lense
They look fine to me. If that lens doesn't support metering then you've done very well.
Being picky you could perhaps increase the exposure a little, so when there aren't any very bright areas in shot, you could try adding 1/3 or even 2/3 +EV (look it up
) and see the difference. Keep the 'highlights' warning in the viewfinder as you don't want burnt out bits. Have a nice weekend playing and working through the manual!
While we're at it, here are a few of my first snaps with my D70. PC problems have curtailed my activities a little.

Yep, sold it to Lee a few weeks ago. I am presently just driving the company rep mobil and enjoying having some cash again.
I bought a D70 to help me get over my grief
Yet another decision you probably helped sway
I have enjoyed looking at your pics over the past few months. It'll be interesting to see how long I can hold off for before diving back in. I had a quick look in MMC last week and was blown away by a gorgeous looking black s2 Exige. Way out of my budget!
Cheers
