With a one year old Vanquish would you recommend Gap cover from the dealer or not at all?

Never ever bought gap insurance in my life and if I had I would never have claimed on it. How likely is a 1 year old Vanquish to be written off anyway?

Just more insurance to prey on your fear of loss, that seemed to become popular when the PCP did with millions of cars being driven around on finance with little equity in them.

Whats the real chance of total loss in the next 3 years ?

A nice little earner for those selling the polices no doubt, especially if you wrap it up in the deal with the car so you can pay interest on premium over the next few years.

If you buy GAP insurance don't buy it from the main dealer as they are hugely more expensive than online yourself for the same level of cover(the main dealer salesman probably gets a large commission)

Just buy a proper car insurance policy that will insure you for the right things in the first place.
