570 spider ordered

After spending this wednesday at mclaren and dunsfold with the cars have decided that there is no other car for me than the 570gt we even met the designer,the car is awesome and im hoping in spider format its as good,hope to be taking delivery next summer cant wait.

Sorry, are we talking about a 570gt test drive and purchase, or have McLaren launched a spider version of the 570. If there is a 570 spider available secretly, what's the price compared to the GT, or the original S?

We all know the spider is coming it’s just a matter of time before McLaren make an official announcement. I suspect dealers are happy to take a deposit now for an early allocation

streetrod is bang on,dealers are happy to take deposits or letters of intention, as we all know the spider is coming and it will be officially annouced at geneva,sorry for confusion i drove the 570s coupe at the top gear track if you can call it a track lol.Whilst at the factory saw a few 788 OMG i want one he he.

Oh yes, they're more than happy to take deposits, I can vouch for that!

Are you sure about Geneva though? That's not until Feb next year, Paris is only a couple of weeks away, that would already be 18 months after the launch of the Sports Series. Out of interest which dealer did you order it through?

my brother put in a deposit for a 570s spider a few months back. Mclaren London said they'd expect something to happen Q1 next year and pricing about £15k up on the coupe.

I was told that it would not be announced at Geneva, the focus then would be on the P14.............570s Spider later, so not to deflect from the P14 launch....

gents were just have to wait and see but it was on extremely good authority i was told geneva,which makes total sense to me as perfect for next summers orders.But manufacturers change there minds and i wouldnt be surprised that it may well be this time next year i get my car but in no hurry need to save up a bit more anyway.

Geneva it is! I'm sure they've got enough Sports Series orders to build, in fact I seem to remember being told last Feb I'd have my car for the summer...

I'm sure the Spider will be the one though, makes perfect sense to flog a few coupes and GT's first.
