Morning,

I was wondering if anyone had advice on tracking someone down? We won a small claims case against a plumber last year and got a CCJ against him (to pay off £2500 at £1 per month..) but also got the right to review it later.

We now wish to bring him back to court and get our money, looking at Facebook he is now he is now in a position to pay more each month, or get it transferred to the high court.

However, he has moved and other than going to the village and hunting him down, or going through the electoral role. Is there another way to find him? Ideally I don't want him knowing that we plan to go after him again. I know the village he's in, and I know he's in rented a house - but that's about it.

Assuming you mean you don't want to go through the electoral roll due to the effort needed, you could try here: https://www.searchelectoralroll.co.uk

Obviously if he's only moved recently and not re-registered it won't be much use though.

If he's a plumber surely he'll have a van or be registered somewhere or has he given it all up now?

He didn't have a van (the first sign I should have walked from I guess...), not sure if the mobile number I had still works for him though.

I will go through the electoral role, just a pain getting to it and actually doing it. Cheers for the link though!

Yep, it would be a ball ache going through the actual register, that's what I was meaning. My post did read a little like I was implying you just couldn't be bothered. biggrin
