Yes you are correct Ian...The panel is slightly different and it wouldn't fit a later S2 350i... Mines 87 but it would not fit a 89..It also looks flatter, Mine seemed to have a slight curve in the actual head area..At least it gives me two options..The first will allow me to inspect the damage of the original panel to see if it is salvageable and two if the original panel is un-salvageable then it means i have one that fits but might have to have a hair cut...smile

Cheers

Sure thing boss...Im designing a retaining strap that you sit on to avoid such mishaps in the future..Although i need some serious experimenting with weight versus lift x force...It could be fun but not fun to watch from the air..
.Especially if you forget the packed lunch...eek

The best way not to lose it is to keep it in the boot at all times wink

Very true sir but when its completely hammering it down no matter how fast you go you will not escape...I had a very important meeting so did not want to arrive looking like a drowned rat..Yes it shows dedication but also reveals insanity smile

Hi

Just wondering if any of you know how long the lugs are on the Targa panel..Including whats bonded in.

Im tempted to use some alloy flat bar..And might have a go at what fellow Wedger Adam H did to his as they look the dogs doodads...smile

Cheers

Stainless steel would be better. I've got the sized stuff saved on evilbay but the length is a different matter. I was going to buy a length of bar and trim to suit. Adding some slits to allow the bonding to grip well.

Hi mate

SS could be better as you say....

Why is the length a different matter?...Is there minimum order of 1000 yards...eeksmile

Length of the tang you need to cut - as you asked. Joe (v8s4isme) replaced his before the roof conversion. I think it was him. But that was on an S. As to whether TVR choose to do different lengths of tang per model I do not know. That said, they obly project so far in to the 'keep' and once drilled out of the targa panel that depth will be obvious.

You buy a metre of the stuff quite readily of evilbay.
