Spit and Polish
Discussion
Im sure like me you all spend a great deal of time cleaning and polishing your pride and joy, trying to attain that perfect finish.
I seem to be fighting a loosing battle with my S2 as its black paint is quite soft and tends to show fine cloth mark scratches when i,ve finished. Can anyone suggest anything?

When polishing, try using something that doesn’t have any cutting compound in it, Autoglym do a polish the same as the super resin polish but without the cut so it doesn’t take the paint off, I believe its only available in 5 litre cans though, my friends tend to use it for their concourse cars so it must be good stuff as they often win. Also make sure you use a proper polishing cloth and decent clean sponge far washing.
What cloths are you using? This is the biggest cause of swirls/scratches. You should be using only 100% cotton cloths, or even better, the new microfibre cloths that are available from certain places. Anything else will more than likely swirl the paint and leave the marks that you say you are getting.
