Needing to restore the lower door panels on my '83 Tasmin. All the materials I need should be pretty generic and available or improvisable except maybe the Christmas tree fasteners. I like the head on them compared to others I've saved over the years...easier and more forgiving to install. Are they Leyland, Ford or some other popular brand? Or is there a part or style number I can ask for at a fastener or autobody supply store?

Hi mate

Have a look through this site..I did get some for the 280i but can't remember what the part number was..They were a Ford item that i do remember.

They also sell the door lock clips..

Hope this helps

Cheers

I've go to do this job on mine so I'd be interested to see how you tackled it.

I have paper templates of the hardboard section...Once the wood is cut to size and the holes are cut and the plugs fitted cover it in scrim foam (2mm) and then vinyl...Simples...smile
