Beautiful car and congratulations
.But why does everyone buy a black or grey car? Subjective I know, but I've always regarded these as very dull choices. (Stands back and awaits incoming fire .......).

Nice! It'd be interesting to hear your thoughts on how they compare?
Very difficult compare at all.. generations apart. The Vanquish has the new AMiii entertainment system, I've no idea what the AMii was like so can't compare against that! Seems to me that is perfectly Aston Martin though... as it has failed on me 3 times now and the car only has 200 miles on the clock now! It gets frozen on whatever section it is sometimes, so once on Nav, once on USB and once Radio. Wouldn't allow any interaction with any other menu whatsoever. This being my 3rd Aston I'm used to "character" so stop the car, lock it, wait a few minutes and start again and everything work. Be interesting to know if anyone else has this with the previous generation AMii infotainment systems?Strangely driving both today, the DB9 still gives me a smile, a different smile to Vanquish, but still very big! Maybe because it has a nicer sound with the Quicksilver exhaust, or because it's a Volante, it is still a charming car and a keeper. The Vanquish is delightful, much quicker, and handling is actually what a super car should be, the DB9 was frankly awful compared any supercar made post 1999. The Vanquish handles, it corners, it doesn't stop cornering, so far no under steer or over steer no matter where I point it at what speed! Can't say that about the 9! Launch Control is probably the most lame launch control system I have encountered though! So far as I can tell all it does is add an "LC" icon to the dash, no revving of engine, no actual launch, nothing I can discern from just planting foot firmly on the gas pedal - BUT as with all Astons it is several years behind the rest of the automotive industry and you know what? It does NOT matter
It is charming and it is an Aston
I will probably PX her against a Vanquish S when they become available and will keep that just as I'm keeping the 9 until I can't drive! (from being old not from being banned... again)Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff

Any more pics of the DB9 volante too?
