How to get work in Bahrain Dubai and Qatar
Discussion
I manage a small team within a small to medium sized company specialising in road safety, in particular road safety auditing. I would like to try and win some work in some of the safer areas of the middle east. What would be the best / most appropriate way of securing short term contract(s) in the region?
Apologies if its a rather naive question, but i'm really unsure where to start.

I am not entirely sure they are that interested in road safety either!
The whole region is very much centred around personal contacts - it must be possible to get work but even if you do you will probably need a local sponsor, nothwithstanding any free trade areas.
There are quite a few people on here with a lot more experience than me so hopefully they will reply as well.

Thanks, that interesting
Further enquires within the office and it turns out other teams within the company have undertaken work in the region, but were never paid...
They are strange with debt. Pal of mine did a website for Nakheel, the state Dubai property developer. They like the rest of Dubai hit hard times a few years back, and he didn't get paid. However 3 years passed, and he's written it off as debt and took it on the chin, and out of the blue a cheque for the full payment arrives.
