Clutch delay valve (CDV) Mk7 Golf R MY14
Discussion
So I'm on to my third clutch, original and replacement OEM both slipped under some high torque tweeks. Opted for an uprated clutch because I simply cannot go back to standard now, feels slow as hell. The new clutch arrives in a few days from the good old US&A, rated to almost 500lbs, it's more than capable of withstanding my c~380lbs/ft.
The car as standard has a delay valve, minor inconvenience under regular driving but under heavy beans, quick shifts are negated by the clutch staying down to avoid any slippage/damage.
With the uprated clutch fitted, should I opt for removing the valve? Scoured the net and the results are quite brief, can't find any reliable sources to turn me away from such a decision, just curious as to what the general thought to this is, either theoretical or from experience, negatives and positives?
