Im not sure what your asking but a quick search online should give you a wiring diagram for a 3 wire sender.
In the past the ones ive seen have a positive and negative feed and a send wire back to the gauge.
I would have thought this is how Tvr would have wired it but who knows!

Does this help?

As above post, one wire at the sender is positive, one is negative and one is the signal wire to the gauge, in this case the green/black one.
On the gauge there must also be an earth wire. If this is missing then you will not get a reading. Try fitting a wire to the missing terminal on the gauge and earth it. The gauge should work if the sender is good.

If you have a multimeter check the voltage on the green/black wire. Lift the sender out of the tank and move the float. The voltage to the gauge will go up and down as you move the float. If it does not then test at the float. Ensure you have a good earth, 12v at the feed and if there is no signal then the float is suspect.
If you have a good signal at the float but nothing to the gauge then a broken wire or bad connection. Most wiring from the rear is connected behind the B pillar on the nearside. Open the passenger door, slide the seat forward and tilt down for access and pull the carpet back - its on velcro - and you will find lots of connectors.
It may be easier to run a new wire to the gauge if this is the problem.
