I found a revolver in a stream in Scotland as a kid, polished it then gave it to the police after a game of shooting each over.

Anybody found anything interesting?

Found a WW2 machine gun bullet in my back garden when I lived in Kent. I like to think that it dropped to earth during the Battle of Britain.

Found one of these yesterday. If you can tell me exactly where you lost it, I'll post to you.

When I was about 10, I found a perfectly preserved flint arrow head in our garden. More recently, I found a great pair of Raybans under the seat of a smashed Vectra in a scrap yard.

Many years ago, my father bought a building from the Stevedores and Dockers Union in London's Docklands. I was 13 or 14 at the time. Helping out one day, I was asked to clear out the back room of an office. There I found a roll of blue paper. On urolling it, I discovered that it was a diagram of a missile. A Blue Streak missile. Not knowing what exactly it was, I chucked it in the bin.

Silly me. frown

They had some other crazy stuff I wish I'd kept. For example, union application forms. You could only work in the docks if you belonged to the union.

Not only was it a closed shop, the application forms stipulated that an applicant could only be proposed for membership by a relative who was already a member of the union.

This had to be either a father, grandfather, uncle or brother.

Containerisation destroyed them and my father bought their office building. I have their meeting hall fire bell hanging on my study wall.

I found two bullets at work, a .22 Magnum and a little .17 Magnum. Both down the front of the screen under the dash. I got lucky, one of the other lads found a customer's stash of transexual porn mags and dildos under the driver's seat.

About £500k of cashed cheques as some numpty on DHL picked it up from the bank, decided for whatever reason to open the parcel I ordered and place the cheques in it and deliver it to me.

I went ape s**t and got a paper involved and got a £25 voucher in return.

I returned the cheques to the bank they came from before anyone asks smile
