Virgin have asked me to sign a wayleave agreement that will
give them access to roughly 100 flats in 12 houses .
Has anyone had financial compensation for signing such an agreement ?

Surely the people that live in the flats have a say in this too? Just my personal opinion as they are the ones who will have to put with any inconvenience.

I do (slightly different)telecoms wayleaves as part of my day to day.
The answer is yes.
BUT, it will depend on the level of demand from the residents...if no-one wants it, Virgin will look at it as a network asset just to get pipe in the ground for the future and will dig to a point that makes it easy to reach the internal utilities riser position....but not go mad on expense to get it, as they can invest elsewhere and get the take-up, and perhaps re-vist it later....
If there is demand for it, then you have a good negotiation position.
It will, or is normally, a one off payment and they'll insist on having access to their stuff whenever they like...
It won't be a massive amount, the wayleaves I work with are to cross farmer's fields and such....at around £3.75 a metre.
In this case, 100 flats and 12 buildings is quite an undertaking and good for them...not sure, perhaps start negotiation at £50-£100 per dwelling and see what they come back with?
