FI Install - First start..
Discussion
Pretty chuffed ..
My Holley EFI install started on first go - https://youtu.be/_cyNd7yPzBk
Was kinda expecting a few more problems/gremlins before I got it going, but it sparked up and settle back to an idle (and it never idled nicely cold with a carb)
So far, well impressed with the Holley kit.

those ht leads and coils look very very close to the exhausts, u sure they wont melt?
Nope, not sure. The leads nearest the manifold are heat sleeved and the manifolds are freshly Zircotec'dI will keep an eye on it - Worse comes to the worst I will re-route the leads and shield the coils with heatshield

I opened this expecting to see a forced induction (turbo) install and was thoroughly confused watching the video ??
Nice work though, no doubt be a LOT smoother on the EFI.

if its any consolation I do have a Rotrex blower that I am trying to figure out how to mount... that might be my next projectI have now got rid of all my fan thermostats and manual overrides and just got the fans running from the PWM output of the ECU. Fans now run anywhere from 10% to 100% speed depneding on the coolant temp and engine speed... dead easy to setup, I used a corvette C6 fan controller and it works a treat.
I just purchased the Holley SNIPER system for another car and am in the process of installing it. The sniper has the CPU board built into the carb. This is one of the only EFI systems that has the injectors above the throttle plates which makes a huge difference. The Holley software is the best in the industry. Sniper unit is only 900.00USD

what are these systems like with megga high lift cams and low manifold pressure?
I don't have that answer as my engine is pretty stock, I do know that there is a very well know FI tech in the area and he has used these Holley systems on an array of High HP cars. IMO Holley us years ahead of all the I systems and most of it is based on their sorftware. It's not just a re vamp of an older product it was designed from the ground up and is a modern design.

I am not sure about the sniper but the HP/Dominator can run Alpha-N, speed density or a combination - Alpha-N at low vacuum/off idle and then switch to SD further up, having said that I have read that people have run fairly wild cams on just SD, but its fairly easy to switch around.IMO Holley us years ahead of all the I systems and most of it is based on their sorftware. The Holley forums have been very helpful for me, I spent quite a while nosing around over there asking questions before jumping in and have been very helpful with my subsequent questions. If you are interested I would suggest going over there and asking some questions.
