XBox 360 controller drivers

Have windows 10 on my desktop but it looks like I have got to down load a driver for the controller, can someone post a link.

I have tried searching but all I can find is for a wireless connection, my controller is wired.

I found that page but I have tried connecting to all USB ports but I dont get any pop up box, but it shows in the connected devices section.

If you open up the 'Setup USB game controllers' screen in control panel, does it show up there?

If it does and you click Properties on it, do the sliders move around when you waggle the sticks? If so then it's all working properly regardless.

yes it's doing what you say, but why will it not work on a game, it only lets me use the mouse.

Good question. If the above is working, then the driver is fine.

Have you tried a newer game?

This google should tell you. Need to edit a .cfg file.
