Why do all Chinese takeaways have a massive mid 1990s JVC/Panasonic CRT television?

The one local to me has a tiny little CRT TV & VCR in one and a HUGE fish tank with really sick looking fish!

If it's really true that "Once you pop, you can't stop", why use a resealable lid?

If a dropped slice of bread always lands buttered side down, and a cat always lands on it's feet - what happens if you tie a buttered slice of bread to a cat's back? Does backspin have an impact on the result?

Mine was more in the line of silly questions rather than serious ones.

You get scratched to pieces by an irate moggy, get septicemia from the wounds and die.

If a child kicked a dog to death everyone would be outraged but that same child can burn ants to death with a magnifying glass but its just kids being kids.

Why don't the RSPCA look after the ants, their gods creatures too.

If we added up the total height of everyone on PH, and then subtracted that from the total height that everyone claims to be on PH, would we be able to reach the moon?

If you ran a takeaway would you buy a new TV for it or just bring one in from home and allow the business to "buy" it from you for £400? Repeat annually.

My mum did. Paid extra for metallic too. Still, better burgundy than silver.

Well, I wouldn't have said so, but it was her money and she paid extra. She'd never had a new car before. She loved it and kept it for about 8 years, by which time the arse was falling out of it. Well, it was a Ford Ka. They went to enormous lengths to buy the cheapest car, £5k brand new, and then she handed over £400 for metallic burgundy paint. No, I don't know either.
