Inspired by the Chimera guys over here I am thinking of smarting up the engine bay of my Cerbera and wondered what everyone else has done to theirs?

Cam cover colouring sounds like a good one, along with colour coolant pipes and coloured HT leads - but what else??

Pictures for inspiration please!

I had my cam covers, water rails and airbox brackets chromed and airboxes painted gloss black.

Nice and clean thumbup

Has anyone tried spraying their air boxes a matching colour to the body work - wondering if it would look good or just rather naff!

Mine used to be silver like the bodywork. Didn't like it, and they were a bit tatty so in the words of Mick Jagger I painted them black!

Saw this and thought it was the best SP6-bay additive...

But, as you have a 4.2 then you can always get the polisher out...

Thanks guys and for all the pictures

My goodness - that is amazing and must have taken AGES!!!!

Thanks for those and so far I've worked out

1. Always keep air boxes black

2. Coloured cam covers are cool but you can't see them very easily on a 4.2!

3. Polished fuel rails are cool, but I wonder if you can get them coated / just the line bits painted so that they look cool but require _slightly_ less effort to get there...

Just had a weird idea. You are right, the biggest thing to hit you when opening the bonnet of a 4.2 are the airboxes and the 'F1' panel.
Soooooooooooooo get them coloured in a slightly darker 'Pearl' finish than the bodywork and then cover them in that Carbon wrap that can be put on in a water suspension.

There's me thinking engine has to be red as it's the heart of the car and the tubes red (oil breather, intake) rad pipes are stainless but I'm honestly thinking of dipping my air box and filter cover either Carbon or keeping with human biology in a camouflage red to give the appearance of they are the lungs. Any thoughts as I'm in no rush to get it done?

Now that's not as crazy an idea as you might think, especially as I have these that I've been wondering what to do with for a while [I'm not a massive horder, honest, I bought the scuttle so that I could make a wider hole for the battery terminals to connect a disconnect thingy]...

The car is in Nightfire Red Pearlescent so if we had these sprayed in that colour with a twist, that would be pretty interesting wink
