Hurricane east USA.

There's gazillions of boats up the east coast of Florida. Do they all just ride out the storm on Thursday moorings ? Does insurance cover them if leftbin the path?

You do carry boat insurance and most owners have made preparations with regard to storm surge and extra high tides. Yes some boats will be lost but most will ride out the tides and be OK. The biggest worry is boats on lifts and not being fastened down correctly. It isnt the wind....it is the storm surge that causes the damage.
