I'm building a house and want to put a wine wall in at one end of the dining room. The available wall is about 3.5m wide and 2.9m tall. Does anyone have any top tips re where to source, features to look out for, pricing etc? I want it to be a bit of a feature, temp controlled and to store 300-400 bottles.
Google almost always has something https://www.getstact.com/pages/glass-wine-cellars
Google has been useful in generating ideas.
I contacted a couple of places including cellar maison. They, quite amusingly, suggested an initial quote of £46k!!! £46k for a wine wall at the end of my dining room! Hahaaaa. Boy did I laugh.
If anyone has any recommendations for reputable and sensibly priced outfits, please let me know! It goes without saying, I'm not paying London super prime prices...

This has to be the way to go and then pay a good kitchen fitter to build them in so they are surrounded by custom glass storage.I was going to say, as it's to do with wine, it's likely to be expensive!
I've always fancied one of those concrete spiral cellars you can have sunk into your kitchen, but they are £20k, you can buy, and professionally store a hell of a lot of very good wine for that amount!
The key bit of (long term) wine storage is that it's best kept at cellar temperature c11-12C, humidity (60-70%), with low levels of light and vibration. If you have lots of wine that needs to be kept a long time I wouldn't keep it behind glass, all lit up like you see!
It's probably worth shopping around the different companies, but if you have a capable or imaginative builder and/or air conditioning engineer you could probably get them to do the install with well sealed glass panels and shelving fitted seperately. You can purchase cellar conditioners seperately (couple of grand?) and then get the design & build done by your own builder/fitter instead.
