Music editor suggestions

Hi All
Just wondering if anyone uses or can recommend a simple, budget music editor.
The task at hand is as follows.
Getting married in March 2017 and would like our first dance to be to a trance style song but this is a bit jumpy to slowdance to.
I have searched in vain for an acoustic version.
So was thinking maybe with the right software I could take the version of the song I have and take out or reduce the drums and leave the melody and lyrics and chop the mid section to make it shorter and mostly lyrics.
Any help much appreciated.

(Pro software with years of experience to do what you ask - properly - apart from the chopping out bit, which is easy)
ETA... I should add that it is fairly easy to reduce the volume of drums relative to the rest of the track, but to lose them takes lots more tech. If you are on a Mac try Garage Band for a starting point. HTH
