Registered Design illustrations
Discussion
Yes, it's my job (patent/design attorney)
You can basically file anything as a design - whether or not it will give you good protection is a whole different question. For line drawings we work to 0.5mm for line drawings done on an A4 sheet.
Purely as a pointer (not legal advice
), you may wish to review the guidance on representations if you're doing a UK application, which can be found here https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/designs...
Feel free to PM me if you want professional help.

That's a really good start, thanks.
Just wanted to get an understanding of the basic requirements as far as the illustrations go, as a friendly PA is registering the design for me.
She's already seen some of the design process I've gone through and has suggested that creating these particular registration illustrations shouldn't give me any trouble (it's a fairly straightforward item).
Thanks again for the link and line guidance.
