It was my fifth mk1, it's out of my system now. It's only a car at the end of the day.

Lots of work done, in fact £10k spent on her in the last year, new out riggers, camshaft, radiator etc.

Got it for a little lower than buy it now price.

RS2000, quite rare only 3,500 built, most rusted away now!



Anyway, been there, done that now.

Nice Chim. You will enjoy the increase in power whilst missing the classic look of the Ford.
Was it the RS1600 that had the BDA engine which is a nightmare to rebuild and cost a small fortune?

Yes that's correct. The RS2000 was introduced to fit between the Mexico and RS1600. There was also a Lotus twin cam earlier on, again not as reliable as the pinto engine in the RS2000.
