Another mundane Monday where common sense dictated I really should take my company car, but then I thought (as I often do) why be a slave to convension when I could take the TVR?

Who else solved their Monday morning blues with a dose of V8 happiness?

Been to Donington today.....

To be fair, they are not all V8s, nor were the fleet of Lotuses and Porsches...

Mat was 1.28 in my Chimaera.....short circuit, without the Melbourne loop
My rear suspension was far too soft for his liking.

M3 BMW was 2 seconds quicker, but Donington is a tricky circuit for track day overtaking.

The other cars I photographed were all slower than me, and I was slower than Mat, if the over-heating engine and cooked brakes were anything to go by. My car has been overheating all summer, so that was no surprise.

Yep got back late Sunday but woke beastie up early yesterday morning and we were in town by half eight.. parked up outside the Italian on the one way system opposite the green and sat on the boot watching the world go by whilst drinking a freshly ground latte thingy smile Did a bit of shopping then drove into the countryside to wake up the wild life... Love these fresh Autumn mornings.... might do a repeat today actually scratchchin

i Have been meaning to do this for a number of years now.... Even though I am (obviously) a Driving God I feel a course would be of some benefit, even if it only confirms that I already know everything a Driving God needs to know... I hope this doesn't come across as being pompous but I believe we should be honest with each other when it comes to our driving ability...

Sometimes my modesty amazes me..

So, on the subject of hoons I'm off on a two to three hour drive tomorrow from Narferk down to Reading smile I'm going kinda cross country so rather than M11 down to M25 I'm going A14 over Cambridge then invent a route from there..... Stopping off at daughters in Brampton overnight on way back, so only just over an hour to get home on Friday morning biggrin

If all goes well will be adding another V8 to the stable smile

Can't wait to try out the ejector seat and front machine guns biggrin

Hi Al, If the AM pans out I'll pick it up maybe over the weekend or more likely next week... The only car leaving the fold is the Golf, although that might stay as well biggrin .... The AM is like the Thruxton... there are some things in life that you just have to experience... even if it's only for a brief period... Clearly, if the machine guns aren't working I'll walk away... Don't mind a malfunctioning ejector seat, not like it would fail the MOT... smile

I've had to use serious man maths to justify an AM, but it's a relatively small risk compared to the upsides.. biggrin And beastie is going nowhere... after 7 years it's still fecking mental biggrin
