Bmw smg gearbox

Hi guys thinking of buying a Bmw 330ci with smg gearbox. Are they reliable compared to the auto?

In a word no. These are not the same as an e46 m3 smg box, but rather a lightly updated e36 box.

In the e46 they are just trouble- they are not smooth, slow and dim witted, and go wrong All the time -they have no redeeming features
