Insurance for young 'un
Discussion
If he has his own car insured then he should have third party cover for anybody else's car at age 25. Does'nt cover the car of course but is legal if you trust his driving skills. Otherwise it's shop around. I'm insured on a classic policy with Admiral which I find far less restrictive than most so might be worth a try. Had to phone them to get it, couldn't find it online.
When I was looking to insure mine when 25 I had to go to flux. Everyone of the more usual TVR insurers wanted experience of owning and driving a tvr or something similar or over 30. Did have to pay quite a lot more than the ussual amounts most on here quote though. Didn't have any issues afterwards though come renewal time with the other suspects and it's now a normal level. As a named driver though, makes things even more tricky!!
One of the few disadvantages of being young is suppose.

Call MSM insurance, I have been insuring my Chim with them since I was 19
No longer sadly. You have to be 30.
I've had good results with sky insurance.
I was 28 when I got my S, can't remember exactly how much it was but it was less than £100 with Footman James, limited to 6000 miles, TVRCC membership made a difference, you need to give them your membership number.
ETA I didn't have any no claims as I'd had a company car for the previous eight years.

I would go, like Lawrie, to Footman James for a quote. I have found Peter James insurance even better as they seem to understand the classic car business very well. (They insure Stirling Moss as well!!!). They were certainly able to add my son before he was 30, and for a reasonable price I thought at the time.

I bet you don't need to be 30yrs old to be insured on that. It's daft!
