Sony RX10M3

Anyone know if the RX10M3 has/does this:

1. Allow Panorama mode to be used at any focal length - my RX100M3 only allows Pano at widest focal length, and I find it a PITA.

2. Have Overlay Processing in Superior Auto, whereby it takes multiple images in low light and combine them into a single image .

Not sure on 2) Though my past experience of this was a paid for app on the NEX6 that stacked multiple exposures to help reduce noise.

That's annoying, the RX100M3 doesn't either, but all my other "fixed lens" Sony camera's allow zoom in pano mode.

The NEX6 did it in Super Auto, but only if set to JPG. As with the RX100, it doesn't do it if you're recording RAW or RAW+JPG.

I found the RX10M3 manual on the Sony site, and it certainly implies that the RX10 does it as well (presumably with the same restriction, not if recording RAW).

1. I can't get my RX100 M3 to work properly in panorama mode though must say that I've never used it before so am probably doing something wrong, will need to read the manual!

2. Yes my RX100 M3 does take multiple photographs when set in 'Superior Auto' mode, then merges them into one image, but I've noticed that it only does this in low light. In normal light it doesn't bother. Once again it's something that I've not used before. I tend to lurk around in Aperture or Shutter priority mode.

EDITED to add I've just noticed you are talking about the RX10 M3 NOT the RX100 M3, I need to go to Specsavers. I think DibblyDobbler uses a RX10M3 so he might be able to shed light on your questions.

It took me a few goes to get the hang of panorama mode with my RX100M3, but it's worth persevering with as it's pretty impressive when you get the hang of it ... I just wish you could zoom in Pano Mode
