anyone know of a shareware/freeware software that can generate a PDF from a Word doc ? Need to keep it legal etc etc (and dont want to shell out for full blown Ad.Acrobat right now)

thanks

link no go go !

cheers for offer.. however it uses a bunch of non-standard fonts so bit more tricky (plus would really like to be able to do this here as bound to be changes)

I saw this on www.downloads.com but the one & only review said it was the worst app ever !!! so steered a clear path.
Have you used this pdV6 ?

Use it all the time. Does exactly what it says on the tin with no fuss & bother.

The only gripe is that it pops up an advertising browser after use (but what do you expect from a freebie?)

Staroffice can read/write Word docs and produces PDF - I use it all the time.

Odd - I just downloaded & installed Cute (and the converter) to compare & contrast with 995 and it doesn't seem to want to work.

Prodcuces a file allright, but Acrobat claims its corrupted.

Think I'll stick with 996 for now, despite the advertising!

{edit:} Spot the Freuidian slip - I meant "995"

They both use the same converter AFAIK but whatever works is what works so stick with that . We used to use 995 but a coule of xp machines refused point blamnk to produce a4 sized docs so I ended up with cute. Still got some on t350 I think.

Ooops how did that get there
