Golden Circle - how does it work?

In a rush to grab Depeche Mode tickets earlier today as they were selling like hotcakes, I've bought some for the Golden Circle area of London Stadium. Mostly because they were reasonable in comparison to the staggeringly expensive seating tickets.

Having never been to a stadium gig before, what is it about the Golden Circle that makes it different from the general admission area? I get that it's closer to the stage but is that it?
