What car?

Hi all!
Just wanted someone's opinion that may of had experience in these cars. Want to know what is better overall by overall I mean economical, running costs? Servicing, repairs, reliability?

BMW 54 plate 96k fsh 320d
VS
Mazda 6 2007 plate 40k ts2 FSH

BMW around £700 more to buy in the first place.

I do around 15k a year and just didn't want to get caught up in false economy.

Any advise or knowledge would be appreciated!

The Mazda engine can have timing chain issues how many cars this affected is unknown but it's something to think about, if you're doing 15k per year then I'd want the lower mileage model as the 320d will need suspension parts refreshing as well as the likelihood of having to spend money on wear & tear items, take a look at the Mondeo the 6 is based on the Mondeo but the Ford is the better drive as well as having a good engine depending on your budget I'd look for a 2.2
