Project Management Software

[ThankYouForCalling]

I'm looking for project management software for a web based project.

Essentially the basic features I need are the ability to add 'tasks or 'sub projects' and track time against them.

I know there are some free solutions out there just wanted to find out other peoples experiences.

Thanks in advance!

Another vote for Basecamp.

Teamwork.com may also suit - it has timers available for Windows/Mac/Linux/Android/iOS and will let you draw a Gannt chart if needed for submitting to a corporate project management office.
