2013+ UK C63 507 - LSD standard or not?
Discussion
Hi,
Quick one really.. have been looking at C63s with a view to buy, and in particular a 507 edition has caught my fancy. The advert makes no mention of it having an LSD at all, either in the standard specification or optional equipment. The dealer is unable to supply a build sheet.
Some initial research has just bred more confusion as it appears to suggest that the LSD was standard equipment in some markets (e.g. Australia) but optional in others (e.g. US). I have also found what seems to be the option code for it - 471.
The dealer selling the aforementioned car, when provided with this option code, came back and told me that it is for a "mechanical diff" and that this specific option was only available on the Black Series. He went on to say that the 507 has - as standard - an electronic diff.
I don't feel informed enough to really argue this point at the moment, so am hoping that you guys will have some definitive information one way or the other.
Thanks in advance
