HVLP 2k spraying
Discussion
Hi Folks.
I need advice. I have 15 beach hut interiors to paint. The walls and ceilings aren't a problem, it's the Hardwax oil I have to spray the thick Birch ply furniture and staircases with. (huts sleep six) I will have to use hardener with the hardwax oil.
How do I keep the gun clean and free from clogging up as I'll be spraying over a number of days/weeks.
The hardwax oil manufacturer has sprayed with it but never with hardener.

You'll need to strip & clean out the gun after applying the 2k material.
The Technical Data Sheets for the stuff you're using should give you the potlife of the mixed material as once it's mixed you have a finite time for it to remain sprayable as the hardening reaction starts once mixed.
If you leave it in the gun it will harden & be a serious PITA to get out & you may well find yourself having to buy a new spraygun.
