Am big time locked out..help please !

Evening Folks....my situation. Had just removed the dying battery in my '99 Chimaera this afternoon,and very stupidly closed the passenger door. You know what's coming next,am now very locked out. Boot closed but bonnet is open.
Is there anyway of energising the door release system from within the engine space or is it via the ' other way in ' ?
I have my owners handbook and Steve Heath's book but am struggling to find the right info....I fully appreciate the need for keeping sensitive information out of public forums but if someone could kindly PM me or point me to the right chapter in the books I would be very grateful.
